Privacy policy

Arbitrage Pro is made by Kerr International ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Arbitrage Pro app for Android, the server it talks to, and this website.

What we collect and why

Your account

• The name the account was set up with, your invite code, and how many credits you've used.
• Your phone's make and model (for example "samsung SM-S908U") and when it last connected, so you can see which phones are signed in.

Your scans

• The photos, notes and asking price you send with a scan, and the ZIP code, city and state you entered in settings. Location is used only to find local selling options and prices.
• Photos are held in memory while the scan runs and are not stored on our server afterwards.
• The result (what the item is, its value and the report) is kept with your account so the app can deliver it and so we can track credits and costs.

Listing links

• When you paste or share a link, our server opens that public page to read the listing.
• Some sites, such as Facebook, open in the app's built-in browser instead. Anything you log in to there stays on your phone. We never see your passwords, and the app sends us only the listing details.

Reports you download

• To make a PDF, Word or OpenDocument file, the app sends the report to our server, which builds the file and sends it back. The file isn't kept on our server.
• If you choose Google Doc, the app asks Google for permission to create files in your Google Drive. It can only see files it creates. The document goes from your phone straight to your Drive.

What stays on your phone

Your saved items, photos, notes and settings are stored on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes them.

Server records

Like any website, our server records the internet address and time of each request. These records are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Who else handles your data

We never sell, rent, trade or give your information to anyone. Two service providers process data for us so the app can work. Each may use it only to provide that service:

• Anthropic provides the Claude AI that analyzes your photos and writes your report. Its commercial terms forbid it from training its models on what we send.
• DigitalOcean hosts our server and database.

To find comparable sales, the AI searches the public web for the item, for example "Fenton Burmese vase sold". Those searches describe the item, not you.

We would disclose information only if the law required us to, such as under a valid court order, and only what that order requires.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and no advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on this website.
• No selling or renting of data, and no sharing it for anyone else's marketing.
• No access to your contacts, messages, location services or other apps' data. The app only sees the photos you choose and the pages you open in it.

Keeping it safe

Everything between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are stored on the server only in scrambled (hashed) form, and our service keys are stored encrypted.

Your choices

• Delete your account: ask us and we'll delete your account, its sign-ins and its scan records from our server.
• See what we hold: ask us and we'll send you a copy.
• Remove everything on your phone: uninstall the app.

Children

Arbitrage Pro is for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
